Yorkshire Wolds – Millington Woods
Visited Millington Woods on the Yorkshire Wolds the other day to see the wild garlic in full bloom with a carpet of white flowers.
The aroma of garlic in the air was fantastic & such a peaceful place to visit.
This is what inspired me to paint the pen & watercolour of the woods.
The visit however was to see if I could capture a few photographs of the highland cattle at Millington Pastures for a future painting.
I arrived early in the morning because of the heat from the sun and I was rewarded with a few nice pics just before they retreated to the Hawthorn trees
for a bit of shade.
